Shop Updates–Relisting and Vintage Fabric Items

January 21, 2011 06:34 by ehouston

Over the last week I have been changing some things around in a couple of my shops.  I had been reserving my shop for mostly vintage items with the occasional handmade piece and I was trying to keep all my handmade items in my shop.  I realized that over the course of the last year I had mixed things all up, so I decided to switch postings from one store to another.  I’m not sure that this will even matter, but I thought it was worth a try.  At one time I had listed doubles of some vintage Valentine’s Day cards in each shop and the postings sold very quickly.  I feel a little lost lately regarding what sells best at each location.  Has anyone else experimented this way before?  If you do have several different online entities do you find that the same customers check out each shop, or just stick with one or the other?  I don’t mind having more than one online store and I love that does not charge listing and selling fees.  I just don’t think I am ready to give up on either one quite yet.  Oh yeah, and here are a couple of new postings.  These are actually handmade items rather than the vintage fare that you have been seeing in more recent posts.

Funky Flower Pillows – Pink, Yellow.

Vintage Handkerchief Wall Piece – Large Leaf

Vintage Handkerchief Wall Piece – Wreath of Flowers

Small Tote Bag – Yellow and Green Plaid

I think the people that visit my website also check out what I have on Etsy, mainly because I have the pictures of the listing right there on the front page.
The opposite also seems to happen, though not as often (etsy customers coming to the website).
At least that's what I gather from Analytics.

I also tend to sell the same type of items in each place, though.
I'm still debating whether to sell on Artfire. Keeping track of three shops plus the blog maybe more than my organizationally challenged brain can handle. LOL

Take care,
Kimberly Smile
